OUR SERVICES
- General gardening service including a standard lawn mowing, edging & blow-off hard surfaces. We can organise routine scheduled visits. All grass clippings are recycled into compost.
- We also trim the hedges and small trees, weeding, fertilising and remove those palm fronds. Sorry don't do hedges over 2.5m height
- Backyard or Rent-Bond Clean-up. We'll turn up for the day and tidy up that yard for you, taking away the rubbish. Free quote.
- Soft Landscaping and Design.
- We can create a permaculture design for you and build it. Our specialty is backyard butterfly habitat and indigenous bushfoods. Sorry we don't build hard landscaping like fences, ponds or retaining walls.
- Consultancy.
- Just need some advice? We can come out to your site and run through some ideas and options. Got a design already? SGS can give an independent second opinion on various aspects of it.

Using petrol tools for garden maintenance for one hour, can produce approximately as much pollution as a 160km car trip. Check your lawns carbon foot print here. Highly manicured lawns do not soak up as much carbon as is used in their maintenance.

Sustainable Gardening Services (SGS) is a Brisbane based, non-profit social enterprise.
Our purpose is to provide ecologically sustainable gardening services, and to provide employment opportunities to the disadvantaged in our community.
SGS provides garden maintenance services to real-estate agents, body corporates, small businesses, Brisbane City Council and private residents.
We bank with Bank Australia, which is a non-profit that has used it's funds to purchase land for habitat protection.
We donate regularly to The Nature Conservancy.
This website is hosted on Green Geeks, who are powered by 300% renewable energy.
We only use ethanol blend fuels and are transitioning to electric tools - with the goal of being Brisbane's first carbon neutral gardening enterprise.

We accept payment by cash or direct debit. Banking details will be in the invoice which can be issued by paper or email.
You can set-up an automated direct debit , where we routinely turn up and cut the grass, and you don't have to do a thing.
